Lorraine is a founding member of ANA and a passionate champion of co‑ops and collaboration. Her career has been shaped by that belief: she spent years working across Britain and abroad with community theatre companies and repertory groups before moving into television and film. A role with director Ken Loach proved a turning point, opening the door to more screen work.

Beyond acting, Lorraine’s commitment to community has been widely recognised — including receiving the Freedom of the Borough of Southwark for her contributions. She also serves as a Trustee of Southwark People’s Theatre and as a Director of the Old Lambeth Walk Development Trust, created to protect the historic Lambeth Walk and home to ANA’s office for the past 35 years.
